This powerful, light weight magnesium head torch is dedicated to trail running and boasts many features that give the growing field of Trail and Ultra runners the lighting they need to tackle many hours in the dark.
A dual lamp set up provides a powerful 1300lm spotlight and a 400lm pure floodlight. Paired together they can achieve a 1500 lumen boost output. With updated circuitry, the Trail edition features constant light output giving consistent brightness combined with long run times, lighting your way on the trails for extended periods without a battery change.
Each beam features 3 brightness settings and for extended use the floodlight will last 300 hours on the 5 lumen low setting or 36 hours at the 70 lumen medium setting. Plenty of light to get you through the longest of activities!
The most obvious change for the Trail Edition is the New Fenix BOA headband. The new system allows the fit of the headband to be adjusted with a simple twist, allowing for an exact fit and easy / fast adjustment. The headband itself is a wider design, dispersing the weight over a larger area for a comfortable experience.
Fenix HM65R-T is powered by an included 3400mAh 18650 battery which is charged via the USB-C charging port on the rear of the headlamp (charging cable included). Spare batteries can be used to extend run time.

Operation
Fenix HM65R-T Operation:
Switches:
Spotlight: For on/off, mode switching, lockout function and output selection on spotlight mode. Floodlight: - For on/off, mode switching, lockout function and output selection on the floodlight mode.
On/off:
Press and hold either of the two switches for 0.5 seconds to turn on/off the lamp. Low output level is set by default.
Mode switching:
Press and hold either of the two switches for 0.5 seconds to switch to that beam. The two beams are separately controlled and can be combined.
Output selection:
Spotlight mode: Single click the white light switch to cycle through Low→Med→High. Floodlight mode: Single click the floodlight switch to cycle through Low→Med→High.
Lockout Function:
Lock: With the lamp switched off, press and hold either of the two switches, or simultaneously press the two switches for 3 seconds, the lamp will blink 4 times on Low output of floodlight mode to indicate locked status.
Unlock: With the lamp locked, simultaneously press the two switches for 3 seconds, the lamp wil blink 4 times and activate on Low level of floodlight mode.
In locked status, clicking or pressing the switches will activate 4 blinks on Low level of floodlight mode to indicate locked status.
