Fenix GL30R is an 800 lumen tactical/rifle torch with an intense 3°, 100,000 candela beam that reaches out up to 630 metres. It can be powered by either the included Fenix ARB-L18-3400 mAh 18650 battery or 2 x CR123A non rechargeable batteries. Batteries are inserted by unscrewing the light head. The supplied 18650 battery is recharged via a USB-C socket in the tail of the light.
The built-in tactical tail switch enables the light to be switched on momentarily (half press) or constantly (full press).
The package also includes a Fenix AER-07 dual button remote pressure switch. This mechanically connects to the light via a rugged and shock resistant rotary-locking interface, plugging in via the USB-C socket at the tail of the light. The AER-07 includes both silent momentary-on and clicky constant-on switches plus a sliding lock that disables the buttons when required to prevent accidental activation.

*When the GL30R is turned on with the tactical tail switch, it cannot be turned off with the AER-07 tactical remote pressure switch.
AER-07 Tactical Remote Pressure Switch:
The AER-07 features a side locking slider. Press the slider according to the markings to lock or unlock both switches. Once the AER-07 is locked, both switches are disabled to prevent accidental activation.
Switch 1 is a forward-clicky switch and Switch 2 is a silent switch: Single click Switch 1 to turn on/off the light*. With the light turned off, press Switch 2 to momentarily turn on the light, release it and the light will go out.
*When the GL30R is turned on with the AER-07 tactical remote pressure switch, it cannot be turned off with its tactical tail switch. Disconnect the AER-07 tactical remote pressure switch to turn off the GL30R.
Battery Specifications:
Fenix ARB-L18-3400 18650 3.6 V Recommended √√ Other 18650 Battery 18650 3.6 V Usable √ 2 x CR123A 3.0 V Usable √
Warning: *18650 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Using low-quality batteries or mishandling batteries (such as short-circuiting or overheating) could lead to combustion and jeopardize the safety of users and property. Any adverse effects resulting from the use of low-quality batteries are not covered by any Fenix warranty or liability.
Battery Replacement:
Unscrew the light head and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light head back on.
Charging:
Turn off the tactical light and remove the tactical remote pressure switch, then connect the USB Type-C end of the charging cable to the light. The indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged. With the light turned off, the normal charging time of the Fenix ARB-L18-3400 is approximately 2 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5 V/3 A charging adapter.
Power specifications:
â—ŽCharging voltage: 5 V â—ŽMaximum charging power: 12 W (5 V/2.4 A) â—ŽThis tactical light does not support fast charging. â—ŽOnly use a certified USB charging adapter that complies with the government safety standards of the country or region where this product is sold.
*Do not charge while using two CR123A batteries.
Battery level indication:
Each time the tactical light is turned on, the indicator will indicate the battery level and will last for 3 seconds.
Green light on: 100% - 85% Green light flashes: 85% - 50% Red light on: 50% - 25% Red light flashes (6Hz): 25% - 1%
*This only works with a Fenix ARB-L18 series battery.
Intelligent Overheat Protection:
The tactical light will accumulate a lot of heat when used for extended periods. When the tactical light reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, the tactical light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C/140°F, the tactical light automatically recalls the pre-set output level.
Low-voltage Warning:
When the voltage level drops below the pre-set level, the tactical light will gradually decrease output level accordingly. When the voltage level is very low, the battery level indicator will blink rapidly to remind users to recharge or replace the battery in a timely manner.
*This only works with a Fenix ARB-L18 series battery.
Usage and Maintenance:
â—ŽDisassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty. â—ŽFenix recommends using an excellent quality battery. â—ŽIf the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage. â—ŽClean the lens regularly to maintain the tactical light's performance. â—ŽLong-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare. â—ŽSince platform maintenance requires the use of organic solvents, organic solvents contaminating key internal components of the tactical light may cause malfunctions, and the tactical light will not receive normal warranty service. â—ŽPeriodic cleaning of the light and battery contacts improves the light's performance as dirty contacts may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate.
Problems:
A: Poor battery level. Solution: Recharge or replace the battery. B: The contact or contact point of the battery or tactical light is dirty. Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
If the above methods don't work, please contact the distributor.
