Fenix PD35R LED torch offers incredible performance and convenient operation in an extremely compact package. This 1700 lumen beauty can reach out to over 350 metres at full power, yet is equally adept at close range and lower brightness.
The dual switch tail cap controls all functions and gives fast access to the blistering 1700 lumen Emergency Strobe output whether the light is switched on or off. A large power button operates momentary and constant-on lighting whilst the smaller mode button changes brightness levels and operates strobe output
A large capacity, rechargeable 3400 mAh 18650 Li-ion battery is included which powers 5 brightness levels, long run times and a blinding Emergency Strobe output.
For Police, Military and general use scenario's, the multiple brightness levels deliver a diverse range of lighting power, whether for close inspection and reading, general lighting or illuminating a distant subject. For convenience, your last used brightness level is remembered next time you switch on the light.
With USB-C type charging incorporated, PD35R can be fully charged from empty in only 3 hours using the supplied USB - USB-C charge cable and suitable mains / portable charger. The built in USB-C charging socket has an inner waterproof protection which protects the light to 2 meters depth even with the charge port cover removed.

Fenix tested run times at each output level are achieved by switching the light on and letting it run uninterrupted until the battery is drained as per the ANSI standard. Re setting the torch to a higher power level during operation will reduce these run times.

Operation
Fenix PD35R Operation:
Switches:
Main switch: for on/off and instant activation. Auxiliary switch: for output selection and instant strobe.
On/Off:
Tap the main switch to silently and momentarily turn on the light, releasing the light will go out. Fully press the main switch to constantly turn on the light, press again the light will go out.
Output Selection:
With the light switched on, single click the auxiliary switch to cycle through Turbo→Eco→Low→Med→High.
Strobe:
With the light switched on, press and hold the auxiliary switch for 0.5 seconds to enter strobe, and click the auxiliary switch once again to turn back to the general mode. With the light switched off, press the auxiliary switch to enter strobe, release the light will go out.
Intelligent Memory Circuit:
The light memorises the last selected output excluding Strobe. When turned on again the previously used mode will be recalled.
* 16340/18650 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only use quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks the user assumes. ** The Turbo mode can not be selected and the brightness of the Strobe mode only reaches 1000 lumens when CR123A batteries are used.
Battery Replacement:
Unscrew the light tail and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light tail back on.
Charging:
First switch off the light and plug the USB A socket of the charging cable into an electrical outlet, then connect the USB Type-C socket of the charging cable to the light. The indicator will display red while charging, and will turn green when fully charged. Once charging is completed, be sure to close the anti-dust cover to maintain the dustproof and waterproof ability.
Note:
The normal charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L18-3400 rechargeable battery is approximately 3 hours from depletion to full charging. Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain optimum performance of the battery. The light is unavailable while charging. Charge the flashlight when it is turn on, the light will turn off immediately. After removing the charging cable, it will automatically recall the memorised lighting mode. For avoiding the risk, please turn it off before charging.
Battery Level Indication:
Each time the light is turned on, the indicator will indicate the battery level and will last for 3 seconds. Green light on: saturated 100% - 85% Green light flashes: sufficient 85% - 50% Red light on: poor 50% - 25% Red light flashes: critical 25% - 1% Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L18 series rechargeable battery.
Intelligent Overheat Protection:
The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used on High or Turbo modes for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, it will then allow the user the reselection of High or Turbo modes.
Low-voltage Warning:
When the voltage level drops below the pre-set level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output mode, the light blinks 3 times every 5 minutes to remind you to timely recharge or replace the battery. Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L18 series rechargeable battery.
Usage and Maintenance:
Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty. Fenix recommends using only a high-quality protected battery. If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery for proper storage. Unscrew the tail cap or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation. Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare． Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light's performance as dirty contacts may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
Problems:
A: Poor battery level. Solution: Recharge or replace the battery. B: The contact or contact point of the battery or flashlight is dirty. Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
