Fenix HL12R V2.0 is an ultra-lightweight, rechargeable 500 lumen headlamp designed for outdoor activities such as running, camping, climbing and trekking. Due to its small size and light weight, it can also serve as a back-up to your main headlamp.
Power is provided by a built-in 950mAh rechargeable battery, charged in 2.5 hours via a USB-C socket at the rear of the head unit.
Convenient dual switches (one for each beam) allow for quickly switching between four brightness levels in white light mode and two red light functions (continuous and flashing mode). The lighting angle can be adjusted vertically up to 60°, and the headlamp contains built in electronic lockout functionality to avoid accidental activation, overheat protection, and an intelligent memory circuit to memorise the last selected white light mode.
Made from high-strength polycarbonate (PC) and an aluminium heat dissipating front casting, this tough little headlamp weighs just 72.5g and is rated IP66 for all weather operation.
The perforated headband features a silicone strip to direct sweat away from the eyes, is light-weight, provides excellent breathability, versatile size adjustment, and is easily detachable for cleaning.

Operation
Fenix HL12R-T V2.0 operation:
On: With the lamp switched off, press and hold either of the switches for 0.5 seconds to turn on the lamp. Off: Press and hold either of the switches for 0.5 seconds to turn off the lamp.
Mode switching:
With the lamp switched off, press and hold the white light switch for 0.5 seconds to enter the White light mode. Single click the red light switch to switch to the Red light mode.
With the lamp switched off, press and hold the red light switch for 0.5 seconds to enter the Red light mode. Single click the white light switch to switch to the White light mode.
Output selection:
White light mode: With the lamp switched on, single click the white light switch to cycle through Eco→Low→Med→High. Red light mode: With the lamp switched on, single click the red light switch to select between Constant-on and Flash.
Lockout Function:
Lock:Â
With the lamp switched off, press and hold the two switches simultaneously for 3 seconds, the lamp will blink 4 times in the Eco output of White light mode before going off to indicate locked status.
Unlock:Â
With the lamp locked, press and hold the two switches simultaneously for 3 seconds, the lamp will be activated with 4 white blinks and activated in the Eco output of White light mode to indicate the lamp is unlocked.
Note:
In locked status, clicking or pressing the switches will activate 4 blinks in the Eco output of White light mode before going off to indicate locked status.
Intelligent Memory Circuit:
The lamp automatically memorizes the last selected output of each mode. When turned on again, the previously used output of the currently selected mode will be recalled.
Charging:
1. Uncover the anti-dust cap and plug the USB Type-C side of the charging cable into the charging port of the lamp. 2. When charging, the indicators will flash from bottom to top to display the charging status. The four indicators will be constant-on after charging is completed. 3. With the lamp switched off, the normal charging time is about 2.5 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5 V/1 A or above charging adapter.
Battery level indication:
With the lamp switched off, single click either switch to check the battery status. Single click once again the indicator(s) will go out immediately, or without any operation the indicator(s) will last for 3 seconds. Each time the light is turned on, the indicator(s) will show the battery level and will last for 3 seconds.
Four lights on: 100% - 80% Three lights on: 80% - 60% Two lights on: 60% - 40% One light on: 40% - 20% One light flashes: 20% - 1%
Intelligent Overheat Protection:
The lamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the lamp reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, the lamp will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C/140°F, the lamp automatically recalls the previously used output level.
Low-voltage Warning:
When the voltage level drops below the pre-set level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output is reached. When this happens in the lowest output, the lamp blinks 3 times every 5 minutes to remind users to recharge the battery.
Headband Assembly:
Notice: The headband is factory-assembled and ready to use right out of the package. Adjust the headband by sliding the buckle to the required length.
Usage and Maintenance:
â—ŽDisassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the lamp and will void the warranty. â—ŽLock the lamp to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation. â—ŽThe lamp may flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate due to the following reasons:
A: Poor battery level. Solution: Recharge the battery. B: The lamp is locked. Solution: Press and hold the two switches simultaneously for 3 seconds to unlock the lamp.
